Son of Pierre Tougas and Héloïse Moreau (deceased in 1899 after giving birth to her 14th child). After he moved to Montréal, his father remarried to Elmire Perrault in 1915 and he died in 1917, exactly one month after his son. He stated being born on September 8, 1896 when he enlisted.

Location:

Loos (Loos-en-Gohelle) is a village to the north of the road from Lens to Bethune. From Lens, take the N43 towards Bethune. Arriving at Loos, turn right at CWGC sign post. The LOOS BRITISH CEMETERY is about 1 kilometre from Loos Church in the southern part of the village.
