Location:

Tilloy (or Tilloy-les-Cambrai) is a village in the Department of the Nord, 2.5 kilometres north of Cambrai and 1 kilometre east of the Cambrai-Douai road. MILL SWITCH BRITISH CEMETERY is south-west of the village, near the west side of the Douai road.

  • Borden Dairy War Memorial– City Dairy Co. Ltd. War Memorial, Niagara Street, Toronto, Ontario.  The first World War names listed were employed by the City Dairy Co. Ltd.  This dairy was acquired by the Borden Company after the war.  World War Two names for Borden Company employees were added at a later date.  Donated by the Borden Company to the Canadian Corps Association and moved to 201 Niagara Street.
  • Cap Badge– Cap Badge 92nd Bn (48th Highlanders of Canada).  Private Smailes enlisted in the 92nd Bn but was transferred to the 42nd Bn (Royal Highlanders of Canada) as a reinforcement.  Submitted by Capt (ret'd) V.Goldman, 15th Bn Memorial Project Team.  DILEAS GU BRATH
  • Cap Badge– Cap Badge 42nd Bn (Royal Highlanders of Canada).  Pte Smailes enlisted with the 92nd Bn (48th Highlanders of Canada) but was transferred to the 42nd Bn as a reinforcement.  Submitted by Capt (ret’d) V. Goldman, 15th Bn Memorial Project team.  DILEAS GU BRATH
