Son of Cecil and Virginia. Husband of Heather Aucoin. Father of Tracey and Katherine Aucoin.

Lieutenant Aucoin enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 1964. He grew up in Campbellton, New Brunswick, the second of 10 children. His father has since passed away, but his mother still resides in Campbellton.

He joined the Forces as a Air Force Policeman but after 14 years remustered to a Construction Engineer Draftsman. He attained the rank of Warrant Officer and then took his commission. He died in a military training accident while attending one of his Phase courses.

While in the military he was very active in intersection sports and also coached the Servicewomen's Softball team. He also spent much time watching and coaching his daughters in their various sports. He was a man who excelled in many things and was also the top student on one of his courses. As an instructor at Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering, he was very well liked and a tremendous instructor.

Commemorated on the CFB Chilliwack Slesse Range Plaque.
