Son of Kenneth Wayne and Bonnie Wasden of Spiritwood, Saskatchewan. Husband of Shannon Leanne Wasden and father of Makayla Dawn Walsh of Lancaster Park, Alberta.

The Province of Saskatchewan honoured Corporal Wasden by naming Dustin Wasden Island for him. The Island can be found in the province's northern reaches on Wasden Lake --which honours Dustin's great-uncle. The lake was named several years ago to commemorate Harold D. Wasden, who died in 1944 in the Netherlands as he fought in the Second World War.

  • Plaque– This was the laser engraved granite plaque that we designed to mark the unfortunate passing of Cpl Wasden.  

It was originally displayed at the Kandahar Cenotaph from the date of his passing - and was repatriated to Canada in 2014.  

Today, it can be seen at the Afghanistan War Memorial located at National Defence Headquarters in Kanata, On.
