Daughter of Sam and Shelley West of Picture Butte, Alberta, Cst. Robinson was very involved in sports as an athlete and coach. Cst. Robinson completed an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Forensic Biology. Prior to joining the Force, she worked as a Forensic Identification Assistant in the RCMP Forensic Identification Section in Edmonton. On the day of her death, Cst. Robinson was searching for an impaired driver. While crossing the highway she was struck by a tractor trailer unit. She is buried in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Commemorated on Page 224 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
