Son of Lloyd and Noella of Valleyview, Alberta, Cst. Lundblad enjoyed playing the trumpet and always dreamed of being a member of the Force. Prior to joining the Force he joined the Canadian Army Reserves and had worked for Brinks. Cst. Lundblad earned a diploma in power engineering from Grande Prairie College and completed a two year policing course at Lethbridge College. He served at Edson and Camrose Detachments in Alberta. He enjoyed being on highway patrol. On the day of his death, Cst. Lundblad saw a traffic violator. As he made a U-turn to go after the driver, the police car was slammed on the driver’s side by a grain truck. Cst. Lunblad is buried in Valleyview.
