Cst. Myrol was born in Outlook, Saskatchewan and was raised in Alberta. Three colleagues and Cst. Myrol were shot and killed on duty near Mayerthorpe, Alberta.

He had extensively practiced different forms of martial arts: jiu jitsu, mui tai kick-boxing, grappling, wrestling, and karate. He also played guitar and wrote songs. Prior to joining the Force, he enrolled in a course as a certified field guide at Kruger National Park in South Africa. Cst. Myrol was engaged to be married to Anjila in September 2005.

The Fallen Four Memorial Park was created to have a "living legacy" memorial in Mayerthorpe to honour the four members.

Commemorated on Page 208 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
