S/Cst. Wilson was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He served at Manitou, Norway House, and Flin Flon Detachments in Manitoba and in the Intelligence Service and the Drug Section in Montreal. He also served at the Lac la Biche Detachment in Alberta. In 1985, S/Cst. Wilson chose to convert to Special Constable status so that he could transfer to the Air Section. It was determined that the probable cause of the airplane crash was engine failure. S/Cst. Wilson was married to Deborah and they had 2 children. He is buried in Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg.

Commemorated on Page 179 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
