April 8, 1968

Cst. Karwaski enjoyed playing sports and was a family man. He was in the right rear passenger seat of a police car that was responding to a call for assistance. A vehicle pulled out into the pathway of the oncoming police car. The resulting collision proved fatal for Cst. Karwaski. He was married to Colleen and they had 3 children: Stephen, Timothy, and Wendy. He is buried at Holy Family Cemetery in Britt, Ontario.

Commemorated on Page 164 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
