Cst. Pearson was married to Amy for only three months when he died. He was killed as a result of a bullet when investigating a disturbance, at Winterburn, Alberta. Cst. Pearson is buried in Neerlandia, Alberta.

Commemorated on Page 133 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
