2/Cst. Perry was awarded the Royal Life Saving Society for swimming and lifesaving ability. He accidentally drowned while on patrol in Lake Simcoe, near Georgina Island, Ontario. 2/Cst. Perry’s body was recovered 23 days after the accident. At the time of his death, he was posted at the Orillia Detachment. He is buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in North Burnaby, British Columbia.

Commemorated on Page 95 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
