Cst. Cobble served in eight different detachments from British Columbia to Ontario. He was assigned to the Musical Ride until 1939 when he was thrown from a horse. After recovering from this accident, Cst. Cobble became a dog master and went to Vegreville, Alberta. He died of injuries received when struck by a truck while on duty on Lavoy highway, Alberta. He was married to Kathleen and they had a son.

Commemorated on Page 84 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
