Sergeant Colebrook was from England. Prior to joining the NWMP he did school and clerical work. He was promoted to Corporal on February 1, 1886 and to Sergeant February 1, 1887. Sergeant was killed while attempting to arrest an escaped prisoner near Kinistino, Northwest Territories. Sergeant Colebrook had a wife, Ida, and a son.

Commemorated on Page 19 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
