Peace

The Memorial stands on Hill 145 on Vimy Ridge: the primary objective of the Canadians on April 9, 1917.

Transcript

I am both strong and fragile.

Often, my reassuring presence fails to move you.

Keeping me with you is sometimes difficult.

But should I disappear, you will regret me a little more every day.

I am peace. Protect me… and I will protect you.

Peace

Statue of Peace, one of the eight allegorical figures in the Chorus grouping at the top of the monument.
