So the Invictus Games journey has been very empowering in my life. I’ve only been battling mental health issues for about three years now and it’s still very new to me and very scary, but having people on the team who’ve unfortunately had to live with it for many, many years and being able to get advice from them and learn what the new ‘normal’ is, has been very helpful for me. As well as just being able to get... have a reason to go to the gym; something to look forward to. I’m not doing it because I have to pass a PT test, I’m doing it because I want to get better and I want to do well at the games and I want to make my nation proud.
