Son of James and Ella Maud Jackson, of Toronto, Ontario. Sergeant Jackson was honoured in a memorial service on 21 August 2003 when Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal unveiled a memorial to commemorate those who lost their lives in accidents in the Cairngorm Mountains, Scotland. Its centre piece is an engine from the Wellington Bomber, which was based on RAF Lossiemouth and disappeared in bad weather on 19 January 1942.
