Post cards sent to Edward's love
A series of post cards sent to Edward's love, Maud, before he died at the age of 19.
Post Card Text:
"There's a NFLD girl waiting for her first NFLD boy. While on the field of battle we'll do it or we'll die while shot and shell are flying. There's a tear drop in her eye. There's a NFLD girl sighing for her first Nfld boy. xxxx Ted" -
Post cards sent to Edward's love
"Dear Maud, We are having a nice time up the coast (Channel). We will be home about 2am if we get fine weather coming down the coast. We will be in St. John's about Tuesday evening. I see there is another big crowd enlisting for the second regiment. You have had nice weather since we left this time. I just got down to the wharf that evening when the steamer blew. We left half past 3. I must close good-bye, your loving boy xxxx Ted" -
