On behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament for Ottawa-Orléans, and Bryan Hayes, Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie, greeted men and women in uniform, Veterans and their families at the start line of the 7th Canada Army Run. The Canadian Armed Forces organizes the Canada Army Run every year to raise awareness, to promote fitness, and to provide an opportunity for Canadians to join together with members of the Air Force, Army, and Navy in the spirit of camaraderie and mutual respect. More than $300,000 was raised at last year’s run for Soldier On and the Military Families Fund. The run is now the fastest growing running event in Canada with a sold out attendance of approximately 25,000 runners this year.
