Cst. Seigel was originally from Pembroke, Ontario. He served in five detachments in Manitoba before being posted to his last post of St. Pierre, MB. Cst. Seigel was married to Gail who was expecting their first child. Cst. Seigel is buried at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg, MB.

Commemorated on Page 145 of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Honour Roll Book.
