Minister Fantino announces service dogs pilot project to support Veterans with PTSD

The Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, announced that Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) will provide up to $500,000 in research and treatment benefits to further study the use of service dogs in assisting Veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The two-and-a-half-year pilot project is expected to start later this year.
