It’s always the right time to say thank you. Show your gratitude with Recognition cards any time of the year! Recognition cards provide an opportunity for youth to say thank you to Veterans who have serve Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace.

Recognition cards provide an opportunity for youth to say:

  • thank you to Veterans who served Canada in times of war, military conflict and peace;

Order class packs of printed Recognition cards to encourage your students to write a personalized message to Veterans you know or who live in your community.  If you know the email address, you can also send an e-card!

Writing on a paper card or on an e-card is a way for students to recognize the sacrifices and achievements of brave Canadians who have worn the military uniform.

Add to student learning by exploring the meaning behind the painting Dreaver, by Indigenous artist Mike Holden. Discover the story of Chief Joseph Dreaver, a decorated soldier and chief of what is now known as the Mistawasis Nehiyawak First Nation. Lesson plans and tools available here!
