The Dieppe Raid

Scale models were created of the landing beaches and countryside during the Dieppe Raid

Transcript
Scale models were created of the landing beaches and countryside that the Allied troops would be assaulting during the Dieppe Raid. These large, detailed models were largely crafted using aerial photographs taken by Royal Air Force reconnaissance planes. The unique terrain around targets like Dieppe, Puys and Pourville could be made more familiar to the men who would be coming ashore.
