Born in Battle Creek Michigan USA on Oct 27th 1889. John enlisted into the 131st Battn C.E.F. (replacement) at New Westminster BC May 5th 1916 he listed prior military service with the 104th Regt. Canadian Militia, he also listed his occupation as "Teamster"  John died at Vancouver BC on April 18th 1920 at the age of 31.  He was laid to rest in the Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
