Ce cénotaphe a été érigé en 1921 à la mémoire des hommes de Digby qui ont sacrifié leur vie pour le Roi et la Patrie au cours des Première et Seconde Guerres mondiales et de la guerre de Corée. La campagne de financement en vue de sa construction a été coordonnée par la GWVA.
