Le monument Plus jamais la guerre est constitué d’une sphère en aluminium montée sur une base de granite installée près d’une dalle de granite infrarouge et entourée de cinq blocs de ciment ornés de sculptures de fer soudées, de blocs et de trois mâts de drapeau, celui de Gatineau, du Québec et du Canada.

The monument was dedicated November 11 1923 by Mrs Ghislaine Chenier, acting mayor of Hull.

To men, women and children of Hull who suffered because of these wars 1914-18, 1939-1945, 1950-1953.

They shall not grow old as we are left to grow old, age shall not weary then, not the years condemn at the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.

May our collective memory strive for the future of peace.
