This building was made possible by the Old Boys, parents and friends who contributed to the Memorial and Endowment Fund established in 1947 to commemorate old Ashburians who died in the Second World War and by those who gave to the Building and Improvement Fund initiated in 1953. The first phase of the building, the ground floor, was opened on October 17, 1953.
