Built October 20, 1920 by Soliders from the small mining town of Beverly, Alberta. Now an Edmonton neighbourhood- who had returned from World War 1. Before the Royal Canadian Legion was formed the returning soldiers created the Beverly Veterans Institute.

Erected by the Beverly Veterans Institute To Perepetuate the Memory of their Comrades who fell in the Great War 1914-1918

Residents of Beverly 170 Enlisted.

Great War -28 Names of Beverly Resident soldiers are on the Granite Cenotaph from Beverly who never made it back.
