Ce char d’assaut Centurion sert de monument commémoratif à tous les membres du Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians). Il a été initialement placé au champ Strathcona de la caserne Sarcee à Calgary, en Alberta, et a été inauguré par le colonel commandant, le major-général F.F. Worthington, C.B., M.C., M.M., CD, lors des cérémonies de la bataille du bois de Moreuil en 1965. Le char est resté au champ Strathcona jusqu’en 1996, date à laquelle il a été transféré à Edmonton avec le régiment.

This memorial commemorates the officers and men of
Lord Strathcona’s Horse (Royal Canadians)
who gallantly died in the service of their
country in the South African War, the First World
War, the Second World War, the Korean War and
in the service of the United Nations.
Dedicated by the officers and Men and the Old
Comrades of the Regiment on the forty-seventh
anniversary of the Battle of Moreuil Wood
