Ce mémorial a été inauguré par l’honorable George Hutton, ministre de l’Agriculture, le 21 juin 1964. Il rend hommage à ceux et celles qui ont donné leur vie au service de leur pays. La cérémonie a été célébrée par les révérends E. Syms de Gunton et R. Matthews dans un coin de la cour d'école primaire de Teulon sous un ciel clair et un soleil brillant. L'honorable George Hutton, ministre de l'agriculture, a inauguré officiellement le monument. Le président Art. W. Campbell de la filiale Teulon (166) de la Légion royale canadienne a lu les noms inscrits sur la plaque, suivi du dépôt des couronnes. La construction est de Hans Goeke.

Ce monument inusité combine une forme d’obélisque très tactile avec des roches âpres sur une large base. Le monument affiche 14 noms de personnes mortes durant la Première Guerre mondiale et 17 de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
