MP Royal Galipeau joins youth at 19th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day at Billings Bridge

Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament for Ottawa–Orléans, on behalf of the Honourable Julian Fantino, Minister of Veterans Affairs, joined members of the Royal Canadian Legion, the War Amps of Canada, Veterans and local school children during the 19th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day held at Ottawa’s Billings Bridge Shopping Centre. During a ceremony of remembrance, MP Galipeau presented Veterans of the Second World War with limited- edition lapel pins and certificates in recognition of their remarkable contributions to ensuring Canada remains strong, proud, and free. MP Galipeau also highlighted the importance of remembrance with those in attendance, including more than 300 young Canadians.
