Son of Clinton and Lillian Bacon. Husband of Elizabeth Pearl (née MacCrae) Bacon, of Amherst, Nova Scotia. B.A., B.D. (Mount Allison). He had four children. Captain Roland Bacon is comemorated on the headstone of his wife, Elizabeth Pearl Bacon (née MacCrae) who is buried in the cemetery at Big Baddeck, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. He is also commemorated on a War Memorial stain-glass window in the old Pine Hill Administration Building on the campus of the Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax, N.S. and on the War Memorial Plaque at Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick.

TAUKKYAN WAR CEMETERY is outside Yangon (formerly Rangoon, Burma), near the airport and immediately adjoining the village of Taukkyan. It is on PY1 road (formerly Prome Road), about 35 kilometres north of the city from which it is easily accessible.
