Location:

Achicourt is a village and commune in the Department of the Pas-de-Calais, immediately South of Arras. The Achicourt Road Cemetery lies between the villages of Achicourt and Beaurains, a little East of the main road from Arras to Amiens, about two kilometers from Arras railway station. The cemetery covers an area of 700 square yards and is surrounded by a low brick wall. It is planted with Siberian crab trees and flowering shrubs.

  • Photo of Henry Robert Lindsay Wright– Lieutenant Henry Robert Lindsay Wright attended St. Andrew's College, Aurora, Ontario where he was a prefect and Captain of the 1st Football and Cricket teams. In 1913-14 he served as the Cadet Commanding Officer of #142 St. Andrew's College Highland Cadet Corps.

Hughes served as a Driver in the 33rd Battery, 9th Brigade, C.F.A. After the war he was a member of the 33rd Battery Association. The names listed on this Honour Roll mainly include men who were at some time during the war connected to the 33rd or 34th Batteries.
