Location:

Roisel is a small town 11 kilometres east of Peronne. The ROISEL COMMUNAL CEMETERY is on the east side of the road to Villers-Faucon and the EXTENSION is immediately to the north of the Communal Cemetery.

  • Circumstances of death registers– Source: Library and Archives Canada. CIRCUMSTANCES OF DEATH REGISTERS, FIRST WORLD WAR Surnames: Dack to Dabate. Microform Sequence 26; Volume Number 31829_B016735. Reference RG150, 1992-93/314, 170. Page 875 of 1140. He was initially buried in L’Abbaye German Military Cemetery, located 5 ½ miles North West of St. Quentin near Villecholles.  He body was subsequently exhumed and re-interred in ROISEL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION.
  • Newspaper Clipping– Lt. William Evan Davies enlisted with the First Canadian Contingent at Camp Valcartier, Quebec, on September 24th, 1914.  In honoured memory.
