William enlisted into the 88th Battn. (Victoria Fusillers) Replacement Battn. at Victoria BC on July 5th 1916, listing his occupation as "Labourer"  William died at Vancouver BC on July 17th 1920 at the age of 37.  He was laid to rest in Mountain View cemetery of Vancouver BC.
