MEMORIAL MUSEUM PASSCHENDAELE 1917

The Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 is located on the site of

a major First World War battlefield in Zonnebeke, Belgium.

Visitors learn about the five battles of Ypres, including the

Battle of Passchendaele. The museum showcases many remnants and

artefacts of the First World War. The Canadian section of the

museum highlights personal items from soldiers, including

authentic letters, posters and uniforms. The museum includes a

unique tour of a British dugout. Through this replica, visitors

can experience what life might have been like for soldiers

living underground. Tours conclude with a walk through of

reconstructed allied and enemy trenches and shelters.
