Aboriginal Veterans Day

Transcript
On Aboriginal Veterans Day, we pay tribute to the First Nations, Inuit and Métis who have served our country with bravery and dedication. As we mark the 75th anniversary of the Italian Campaign, today we remember the more than 200 Indigenous service members who died while serving in the Second World War. We honour Sergeant Tommy Prince of the Brokenhead Ojibwa Nation in Manitoba. We honour Corporal Huron Brant of Ontario’s Bay of Quinte Band. We honour Lieutenant David Greyeyes of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation in Saskatchewan. Today, we honour ALL First Nations, Inuit and Métis Veterans who served selflessly so all Canadians might know peace and inherit freedom. veterans.gc.ca #Italy75 A message from the Government of Canada.
