Remembrance Day 2019

Transcript
At the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Canadians pause from coast to coast to coast. They pause for two minutes of silence a minute of reflection and a minute of gratitude. We live in a country strong and free thanks to those who fought selflessly to achieve peace. They were ordinary Canadians making extraordinary sacrifices. Today, and everyday, take a moment to honour all Canadians who have served and sacrificed ... ... and thank those who continue to serve today. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning… we will remember them. Lest we forget. Join the conversation #CanadaRemembers A message from the government of Canada
Description

Today is Remembrance Day in Canada. How will you remember those who have served and died for our country? #CanadaRemembers Remembrance Day is a special time to stop and remember those who have served and died for our country over the years. The nation pauses at 11:00 a.m. for two solemn minutes of silence to honour those who gave their all. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the first Remembrance Day (originally called Armistice Day) in the aftermath of the First World War. Are you going to attend a local ceremony or event today?
