Transcription
It's difficult because, to say, because it was such a changing world. I lived through the depression, the dirty thirties, and they were most felt on the prairies. I lived through the war, through seeing buddies die.
It made me more laid back accepting life, not fatalism, but looking at life more casually, respecting other people, and I think most Veterans are no longer violent people. There are no violent Veteran criminals. You, it does make you, I'm not sure what the right word is, but you see life in a, much, acceptable way. As I say, I can feel it but I can't express it.
