It makes a better person out of you. You learn to respect people, you learn to take orders, you . . . I have a son that joined the Forces and he's changed the way that I changed. Because I was spoiled. And I learned so much from being in the army. It was the three best years of my life. And I would recommend it to any young people. I don't know if it's changed much today, my son said, he's been in for over 30 years, and he said "It's not the same mom as it was when I joined. It's different." But I would recommend to any young person. I grew up as the only girl, I was spoiled. When I joined there I wasn't spoiled, I had to fend for myself, and . . .

It was, it was. And I wasn't . . . when I needed something I had to work for it. When I . . . before I joined, it made me a better person to go out into the world. Much better.
