If you can’t beat this, disorder is what they call it, I’m joining it so my way of trying to fight this emotional distress, whatever you call it, is by trying to get together with my fellow soldiers. Our unit, 3rd Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment, November Company, for services we provided in the war torn city of Sarajevo, 3RCR we were the first soldiers to receive the Governor General’s Commander-In-Chief unit commendation for doing our jobs basically under fire. Some of my fellow soldiers are still serving and some are retired yet haven’t received this commendation, citation so I made it my responsibility, myself included, to not receive this commendation for whatever reason, and I thought it would be a great idea for me to get this commendation issued to those soldiers that haven’t received them yet from my battalion, November Company.
