People prayed a lot in those days. You had to have faith. You had to have faith. You could wake up in the morning and your next door neighbour up the road would probably be, house blown apart. I know my parents home, there was a crack right around the, underneath the roof by one of the bombs. And another thing that would give me the shivers was the unexploded bombs. Where they would close off the streets and then they would get the Army that could go in there and deton, take these bombs apart. How they could ever do it, I don’t know, yet they had the guts to go in and do it. They scared me a lot. You know when streets were all cut off and you couldn’t go down them and they’d get the people out quick.
