Reunited With Three Airmen

Eventually, I got back to, two bus rides and a train ride. We finished up at a railway station where I was reunited with the three airmen. I wasn’t belly-aching because I volunteered, nobody made me do anything, nobody says you gotta go on the Dieppe Raid, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. I volunteered, I wanted to be there and that’s how we, I made two other attempts, two other attempts, but they weren’t really successful so I made four all together. I weighed 80 pounds when the American 9th Army liberated me on the 12th of April,1945.
