Description
Mr. Leblanc talks about arriving in Hong Kong and what it was like before war broke out.
Transcription
We got to Hong Kong in September or October and the war started in December so we weren’t there very long before the war started, a couple, two or three months. We had lots of fun by the time, before the war started. There was all kinds of Chinese girls and they were cleaning our shoes and shaving, they’d shave you, clean your rifles. They were not supposed to do that but a lot of the guys used to get the Chinese to clean your rifles. We had very good service for the time we had while we were there. We weren’t there long enough for you to do too much and then the war started and that wasn’t that good.
