Freedom is not Free

There can be a lot of criticism against the military and how a government uses their military but ultimately freedom is not free. It sounds like a tired cliché but freedom has to be earned and it’s easily lost and I want to remind my kids on a daily basis that we are very lucky to live in this country and a lot of it we would not have gained without fighting for our freedom or ensuring the freedom of others and helping them gain the freedom that everyone deserves. It’s not easy and it’s… sometimes it needs a fight.
