My buddy, my best buddy, his name is on that paper there. He lived two or three streets down from me, a fellow Bishop, Jack Bishop. I met him when we enlisted. We got together and we went through basic training; went down to R & R together and leave, every weekend we used to go to Petawawa, we used to go up to the towns outside and every weekend and that, we were always together. We went to Korea and I think we were in Korea maybe a month or something and he got killed. We did everything together, you know. I had my basic training in the Reserves and he never had none so I would help him out, you know. You got to do this, you got to do it this way, you got to do it that way because I already had it so that bond sort of kept us together too but he wasn’t over there long when his time was up.
