My whole career spanned between Winnipeg and Moose Jaw then back to Winnipeg. But while I was with recruiting I got to visit different recruiting units. That was part of the indoctrination into recruiting that actually had to go to different units and visit and see what they were about. Because when you are recruiting you have to be able to explain to people, you know, about the air force, the navy and that was part of the recruiting. The military police, what a job; amazing people to work with, treated you like family, you know, everybody seems to be scared of the military police but what they don’t know is these people have a real brotherhood in a sense of family and they looked after you. The air force side, Moose Jaw, didn’t really get to travel too much to be honest with you but the air show was a definite, great experience. I got to meet people from all over the world. When your friends and your comrades are being deployed you almost feel guilty really, that they’re going and you are not and you want to make sure that they’re okay. And then you look after the paperwork while they’re gone and you are hoping that you don’t get to see that that leave pass that somebody put in for can’t be processed because something happened to them. Even not being there you are still, you’re not physically there but you still have the, not say worry, fear, for your comrades.
