The soldier side of it was 99% boring and 1% excitement where you’d do a coordinate search operation or a raid and you’d go collect weapons or you would answer to, you know, the Intelligence would provide you with information, there’s a possible weapons location, you would go and search that location. My section, I don’t know what we did to deserve this but in Bosnia there’s these community firms called agro-commerce. They were state run farms and they had had a tip that there was weapons buried in one of the chicken farms in one of the chicken sheds. Now because the whole infrastructure collapsed they were no longer being used but they were knee deep in chicken shit and we spent a month searching chicken barns and going in and we had mine probes and we were probing the chicken shit to find any hidden weapons. We found like a couple guns with the security guards at the factories and things but we never found anything in any of those barns but I will tell you it was, we all didn’t want anything to do with chicken for a long time after that.
