In many ways it’s just the smile on people’s faces when they see you and that sense that no matter how long it’s been since you’ve seen them or what anyone has been through, you know, you’re just kind of content and it’s like you’ve been friends forever, you know, like you’ve distances of time really don’t mean anything, you know, like it’s an instant reconnection. It’s hard to describe but it’s as though you hadn’t stopped talking all the way through. Overseas it was nice just to see people and see a smile on a friendly face and people who were interested in you being successful and coming back in one piece. That was something you really felt. The sense of camaraderie was really, it was something you don’t find in the civilian world, people do not look out for each other the way soldiers do.
