I always knew about Vimy Ridge and I thought well one day I might be able to visit that memorial. And when I served in the military I thought for sure I would be able to visit that memorial. I was thinking I should put it on my travel plans and go and this came along. And wow, this is so wow, so timely for me. I thought, I’m ready for a visit like this and thankfully I can be a part and I can help promote it and help it to be a success just by being a Veteran and being there. It means a lot with my families. My grandfather, he had sixteen grandsons. Out of those sixteen, seven were war Veterans. We were raised on grandfather’s land and we were so aware that he was missing from the family. He was not buried in our family plot in our church. When the war came my brothers thought, no hesitation to join and go in the war. They were not, I thought, wow, they’re not conquering heroes, they were courageous people.
