All on the Same Team!

One of the best aspects for me would be, you know, being able to spend some time with the men and women and being one of the men and women who were actually doing the training on a daily basis and going on deployment on a daily basis. That’s the highlight for me. And, you know, having that interaction, that common goal. Everybody when you are overseas, you are all on the same team. You are all in the same situation. You are away from your family.
You need to get the job done and that bond, that esprit de corps that the military has is a highlight for me. I can pick up the phone and people I went through battle school with twenty two years ago I can call them up and it’s just like we never left, we were just talking last week, like the connection is there. It’s pretty incredible and that’s one of the things I love about Soldier On is I get to actually spend some time with some of the men and women who served and still support them and, you know, get to know them on a personal level which is fantastic and I think the people you meet in the military is one of the highlights for me not even just Canadians but all over the world. And we keep in touch with a lot of them and now with social media, it’s a lot easier but it’s incredible the passion of the amount of people that are willing to sacrifice for a greater cause is just incredible.
